Day 15 Sept 19

Wednesday Sept 19

Yesterday was a full day. Today we were thinking beach, but not until after we all slept in and had a quiet morning. I can't seem to understand the sleep in part and was still up before 7 but the quiet morning gave us time for some laundry and clean up.

The plan was for Shan and Ana to join us around 10 so we took the kids to the pool for a swim and enjoyed the time there without the strict pool supervisor in the evenings. We were soaking in the hot tub when Bobby asked what timeShan would be coming. We answered 10, so bobby squinted across the pool at the clock hung way on the other side and said "oh, it's 10:10, she should be here soon". I let him know it was actually 11:10, but I was sure she would be here soon anyway. It's a vacation, who needs a clock, we are all having fun.

About half an hour later they did arrive. Very refreshed from sleeping in and having a soak in the pool back at their condo. We spent a little more time enjoying the pool before heading back to the condo for pizza and drinks. Grant makes an amazing piƱa colada, chi chi or just about anything, so we enjoyed an afternoon watching some rain fall and visiting.

Wednesday is supposed to be the day for Mai Tais and entertainment at the pool. So we headed back there only to find out it was cancelled because of the rain. :( We enjoyed a swim anyway.

Many activities down here offer child free, one for each paying adult, so we asked what other options we had for that entertainment avenue and found that U'lalena, a colorful live theater, gymnastic story telling history of Hawaii was one of them. We almost booked through our local Expedia local h out but found the tickets about $15 less per adult online, so printed tickets to this evenings show and headed into Lahaina.

The show was very visual and neat. A little loose in the telling of the history but the authentic Hawaiian songs, language and Dane was very neat to see. Cammie did get a little squirmy and Brooklyn fell asleep by the end but there were some neat areal acrobatics that kept our interest and it was a great way to spend the evening.

We took a quick walk back to our van and Ana and Shan stopped to shop at some of the stores on front street. Our wee ones were wiped from another busy day and were all crashed by the time we got back to the condo. Tomorrow is another busy day....
