The kids are convinced today that we need to spend longer at the beach. We
were planning to head to Wailea beach, but if they want to spend a longer amount
of time, we decided we would head back to Ulua beach as there are more
opportunities for shade.
So we packed up a bunch of sandwiches, water and some pineapple juice with
a bit of kick and off to the beach we went. We snorkeled off the right side
yesterday so today we decided to head to the left. Cammie and Brooklyn decided
they wanted to stay and build sand castles instead of snorkeling so Bobby and
Sydney also stayed behind and Daddy, Maddie and I went for the snorkel. It was
gorgeous. Here are all these divers and snorkel ears heading off to the rocks
and more obvious coral formation while there are gardens upon gardens of coral
formations off to the left. It was like swimming over a jungle of coral rather
then looking at a mountain side. Beautiful.
Off to spend the afternoon at the pool we went. It was a great choice.
Free pineapple juice, $2.50 Mai Tais and Hawaiian music and dancers entertained
us until almost 5:00. The deck was crowded with people also enjoying the
Wednesday festivities but the pool and hot tubs were fairly empty. It was a
great time to catch up on the world back home too.
Back in the condo we let the kids turn on the screen hanging on the wal l
for the first time and watch a movie on the movie channel. It was a nice way
for them to wind down and celebrate the ending of our first week on Maui. I am
so glad we are not planning on packing up and heading home right now but have
three more weeks to look forward too.
