It's Sydney's birthday day 2 so she got to pick the order of the day.
Being a beach bum already she chose Ulua beach for our morning adventure. We
attempted a short snorkel but the water was murky and visibility was low. We
still saw a pretty turtle and a group of conch shells making their way across
the sandy floor as well as a star fish.
Back on shore the kids and their dad decided it was time to make a sand
sculpture. It took them almost an hour to complete their life size tiger shark
prowling the beach. The kids were very proud of their achievement.
Back home we had time to lunch and a rest before heading out to the pool.
The kids enjoy so much being there. Cammie has slowly been getting up the nerve
to jump in, taking baby steps towards it, first crawling e cleaint, then jumping
to Syds arms and finally today she mastered the run and jump. She was so proud
of herself she had to keep gettin four attention so we could watch her take the
leap. The dragon lady must have had a day off and the other pool attendants are
great, so Cammie got a nice long soak in the hot tub as well.
Back home Grant and I whipped a liter of whipping cream into a frothy
whipped cream...by hand. With our tired arms we carried Sydney's choice of
pumpkin pie to her and sang Happy Birthday.
We brought her along with us to pick out a couple new movies from
Blockbuster and stopped at Taco Bell for supper. She loved the individual time
with mom and dad and bringing Tacos home to the rest of the kids. The day
wasn't very busy but it was still bed time.
