Well, the alarm did go off at 3:00am and we had great intentions of
catching that sunrise on the summit. However, it didn't take too much prompting
from everyone to shut it off and continue sleeping. The sun will rise another
day and our sick little girl needed some more rest.
The smell of the plumeria greeted us as we opened up to the lanai for
breakfast again this morning. The kids were loving the special treat of Nutella
toast. Store bought bread and a spread they aren't normally allowed to indulge
in.
Off to Kamaole 3 beach for some boogie boarding and fun with their masks.
None of the snorkels fit so they just played a bit with their masks, looking
under the water for anything fun. The boogie boards provided with the condo had
gotten pretty wrecked and were in several pieces inside their foam covering, so
they didn't work quite as well. Cam realized she hates salt water and waves but
is fine once we get beyond the break water and then she has too much fun
swimming with her floaty suit, feet going a mile a minute under the water. The
kids loved their first mask adventure with a sea turtle swimming up so close to
Brooklyn it hit her before swimming on.
When the wind and waves kicked up, it was off into Kahului again to size
out snorkels and masks for everyone and new boogie boards and noodles for beach
fun. Of course after we bought them, all we heard was "can we go to the beach
now?".
Bobby was dawdling behind as we left a store, so Grant joked that we almost
left him behind. Bobby quipped back as he ran to catch up "what about
O'hana?!?" to which we all had to laugh. Yes Bobby, nobody gets left
behind.
Instead it was more pool fun where the kids discovered the O'hana games room with the foosball table and ping pong. This occupied the kids for awhile before
it was time for supper of quesadillas by sunset and into bed early for a summit
trip in the morning.
