We turned off the alarm for the summit. Sydney had a rough night last
night. Lots of puking, crying and bewilderment. How come she is getting sick
when she is the only one who always eats her vegetables?? She didn't quite get
it. Fortunately, Brooklyn woke up to share her experience and knowledge from being sick. Why don't you take a
bath Sydney, I felt much better after I had mine. So she did and we all ended up
getting some sleep. With two of our girls having rougher days and not feeling
100% we opted for a sleep in day and quiet morning rather than a summit trip.
I'll get to see the sunrise eventually.
Sunday mornings at home mean pancake breakfasts and today was no exception.
Bobby loves his pancakes and having them on the Lanai was paradise.
Then off to Kam 3 again because Maddie was puking this morning and we
wanted to stay close to home. Brooklyn didn't play at all so must have still
been feeling sick. She went to sleep on our beach blanket in the shade and
stayed there until the shade was gone and I packed up everyone but Maddie and
headed back to the condo. Maddie and her dad went out for a snorkel to enjoy
some fish entertainment and again saw another turtle.
We took our sleeping Brooklyn to the pool area where Cammie could enjoy
swimming with out the salty, scary waves. She woke up to practice a few games
of ping pong with mom but then felt more like laying in the shade. Cammie and I
enjoyed sitting in the pool and visiting with the other tourists.
Noon came around and home for lunch again. Quick Condo tidy up was
required and then off to kahului for another trip. We are still trying to limit
the amount of time the kids get in the sun to avoid sun burn or heat stroke so
we went in to return something to Sears and buy some new luggage to take home
some souvenirs or just the new pretty hawaiian dresses our girls all got at Ross.
Bobby was in heaven as we stopped again at Krispy Kreme and let the kids
each pick two donuts for the assorted pack. Oh the options. They could have
been there for awhile.
Stopped at Long's Drugs for some vitamins, couldn't find what we are
looking for so headed off down the road. 10 minutes later we are getting out of
the car when Brooklyn says "Where's Cam?". OMG everyone back in the car and back
towards Long's drugs. Felt like we hit every red light on the way back as the
ten minutes now felt like 30. The police cars and security out front felt like a
good sign as we walked in and were directed to our little girl. She was a
little red faced (as we're mom and dad) but safe with several employees and
guests. Who made the point of assuring us we weren't really bad parents, it happens.
Oi! Cam made sure to ask us "where were you mum?". Yikes. So much for O'hana
meaning no one gets left behind.
Getting a little stormy here tonight. Time to start thinking about supper
and probably a pool trip before we call it a night. Hopefully everyone will be
over their ailments by tomorrow.
